I'm Back!

Wow, it's been over a year! I said I'm not good at keeping a Journal. Let's give it another try.

None of us work at the Zoo anymore. It was a good time though. I'm currently unemployed. I have been unemployed since August 15Th. I was working for PetSmart for the past five years. I started as an Operations Manager. For the past 3 years I have been the PetsHotel Manager. Basically what happened was I was forced to go higher and higher in the company to get 2 of my managers their annual raises. It was finally done. However, I received a phone call from Steven P. Dick, my DSM and he told me "your finished at PetSmart". I sent him emails, phone calls and txt messages asking him to take care of this issue. After 6 months of not even so much as a "I'll see what is going on with is" note. I was forced to go over his head. So, a few months later he drummed up some crap about breaking a discount policy and fired me. Oh, after going to 2 hearings at the Colorado Dept. of Employment, the Hearing Officer's decision was that I had NOT broken any company policies! That is why inside the company, managers call the company ThreatSmart.

There are some really great people at PetSmart. But, like anywhere there are some people with integrity issues. So, I'm off to the next big adventure!

Nanci is now Managing The Body Shop. Tina is in her last year at high school. Lori has 2 beautiful children. Matthew and Kairi.

With any luck, I'll keep writing.

Sunday's at the Zoo

My beautiful wife Nanci and both of my wonderful daughters work at the Cheyenne Mtn. Zoo. So, I come and work on Sunday's running the Stroller Hut. I get to meet people from all over the place. Right now, I'm at the Zoo in the Stroller Hut and it's cool out (52 f), I'm watching the fog move across the top of Cheyenne Mtn. it's a beautiful site. Wish I would have brought my camera so I could have posted a picture with this posting.

The Begining

OK, I haven't been very good at keeping a journal in the past... let's give this a try. I'll do my best to write a little each day.
